No Central Universities Common Entrance Test This Year
After viewing the current condition the UGC has decided to not to conduct the Central Universities Common Entrance Test This Year. The University Grants Commission, UGC said on July 18 to the students that no CUCET will be held this year. Due to the prevailing condition of Covid 19 the CUCET will not be held this year.
CUCET Will Be Held From Next Year
As per UGC, Central Universities Common Entrance Test will be held from the next academic session, which is from 2022-2023 onwards. The Education Ministry had earlier constituted a committee to look into the modalities of CUCET 2021. It is an intriguing part of National Education Policy, NEP 2020.
No CUCET Tweets Education Minister
In a tweet the Education Minister said that "In view of prevailing COVID-19 pandemic, admission process in Central Universities during Academic Session 2021-22, may continue as per past practice. Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) may be implemented from Academic Session 2022-23"
Final Year Exams From 30 August
The UGC has also released new academic guidelines on July 16 and also asked Universities to complete admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs by September 30. It has also asked the universities and colleges to complete final semester or final year exams from August 30.
No CUCET In JUN And DU
The JNU and DU also informed the students last weak that they will not conduct the CUCET this year the admission will be held on merit based process similar to that of preceding years. The JNU's UG admission test will be held by the NTA (National Testing Agency).
